Jun 16, 2009 - On career that is should be mentioned in addition to special forces is that of a Navy Seal. Took a break in service for 2 years after my mom died and joined again. Only those who are serious about a career in Naval Special Warfare need to apply. If anyone needs to have a family member attend training with them, this may not be the best thing for them to do together. So it's just going to depend on what the army may need..luck of the draw. However, my question is mainly directed towards strategically joining the Navy so that by the time I complete basic and BUD/S prep, the next BUD/s class available will be in the winter.
